Bad Megaman Art

Looks like the box art for the first Megaman game has finally met its match.

Why can't they draw Megaman as a robot? And Dr. Wily is not Dr. Weil (from the Megaman Zero series), but this will make fans go all over that idea again.

I know the times were different, but I just can't help but giggle when I read "sate-of-the-art" and "High Resolution Graphics" on the original Mega Man box art.

With how fast things are moving, our kids are going to play SSBB and go, "What kind of lousy graphics are these?!"

Dr. Weil *could* be Dr. Wily... Capcom is just inconsistent and far-fetched enough in its plots to attempt it at some point.

If you ask me, though, the main thing making it impossible -- and this is seen in this box art, so any fans who take that rendition of Wily to be "too similar" to Weil are missing the main point -- is that Dr. Wily's hair is hallmarkedly bald with side-bits-(the-type-Captain-Picard-has)-grown-out-to-half-a-foot, which Weil doesn't have, instead not being bald on top to begin with.

However, I think the whole point of this art is to imitate the style, inaccuracy and all, of old box art.

If Weil can do something about his mortality, surely he can do something about his hair.
